- The Glass Castle is a title sequence for an imaginary film based on the memoirs of the same name by American writer Jeannette Walls. In it, Walls describes both in a fascinating and shocking way her own childhood and the growing-up in an unusual family. The title sequence portrays key moments of the book by bringing several objects of sentimental value to life that lie hidden in an old and used suitcase on the attic of Jeannette Walls. The sequence thereby becomes an introduction and concentration of the mood that characterizes the film and presents an abstraction of the events to the spectator that occur during the narration.
